Priority shall be given to the collection and preservation of materials related to:

1 African Americans and the Methodist Church and its predecessor bodies
2.The Central Jurisdiction and its creation, ministry and elimination
3.The history of Black Methodists for Church Renewal, Inc.

Materials wanted for the collection (this list is not exhaustive):

4.Official records and documents
5.Minutes of meetings
6.Newsletters
7.Special reports
8.Written materials of special events such as convocations
9.Publications, including books, periodicals and other printed materials related to African Americans in The United Methodist Church and other Methodist denominations
10.Primary source materials such as diaries, sermons, correspondence, photographs, audio and video tapes
11.Artifacts
